Finding Balance

I said in my last post that there were some photo I took that I loved and some that I hated. Some of them just did not come out as I had pictured them in my mind. I see pictures everywhere and I try to capture that but it can be hit or miss. I'm okay with that too. I post the ones I don't like because I am trying to be true to the 365 project. If the only picture I have for a day is a bad one, it goes up.

Then there are the shots that come out exactly like I saw it in my head. Here is Francesco trying to balance on parking concrete barriers. I got down at the end of the run so I like the perspective, I like the concentration on his face and I captured the moment forever in time. I love it!

I can truly say that with all the good and the bad pictures I have learned a ton about my camera, about photography, about using accessory equipment, about the advantage of always having my camera and how much I really love it all!

Now I am trying to convince my husband to get me this Epihanie Bag since he hates that I put it in my pocketbook.

  2. Love this shot, Cara! It definitely wouldn't have been the same if you would have taken it from "eye level." Way to get down and dirty!. :)

  3. Oh I got one, and LOVE IT...........
    It fits so much stuff.
    Maybe for Mother's Day.
The padding is awesome and so many pockets.

  4. This is adorable. Your Francesco looks like such a sweetie. I love the photos from Week 8; that is a fantastic collage.

You know, in reply to the comment on my blog, I am the same about milk. I will not buy it unless it is organic. My husband used to come home occasionally with non-organic milk because it was cheaper...It took about 7 gallons for me to break him of the habit. (I think he just hated the price tag.)

As for the handbags, there are only two ways, in my opinion, to purchase them. Method one: go during the sales, because even the designer stores go on sale twice a year. Method two: go to the outlet mall just outside of Florence. (There are outlets for ALL of the Italian luxury brands. It's heaven.)

I have to tell you that I really admire your dedication. All of your photography is splendid and I have to applaud your work! You continue to inspire me to stick to my own projects!

  5. I like the balance shot. It's true we all take pictures we don't like. Somehow I'm always telling myself it should have turned out better. But I love the focus on the shoes in this picture. :)

  6. Great shot. And FANTASTIC bag! I am drooling over it...I might have to get myself one - you know what they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! :)

  7. It can be rather difficult to post the photos we don't like. (And believe me, I have my share of those.) :) I think it's awesome that you're able to get around that and see it for the learning experience that it is, but for the record, I haven't seen ANY bad photos from you yet. :)

  8. I am so impressed that you have kept up with the 365 project. That bag is awesome. I am not sure I can justify one though.
