We should have your parents over for dinner.

"You know we really should ave your parents over for dinner to Thank them for helping us out."

I said these word to my husband because his parent have helped us out on numerous occasions. This time they had a tiny little refrigerator at the "shop" they let us use when our "almost" top of the line GE fridge went south on us.

That whole story is good blog fodder that I really need to get to but not right now. Any who! We decided to invite Michael's parents for dinner to Thank them for all they have done for us. In the midst of that conversation Michael suggested we invite my parents since they too are very good to us and our parents have not had a meal together in a long time.

My husband may not seem like the considerate kind but he really is.

So we planned and we invited and we had dinner.

Let me just say...I had a great night. Can life get any better than a good meal (which I cooked...thanks to Giada De Laurentiis), good company and parents that get along.

It was like one of those big Italian Family dinners. The food was phenomenal, the menu was Stuffed mushrooms, Chicken Piccata, Broccoli and Green Beans with Roasted Potatoes. For desert....Cheesecake! The conversation had no gaps and everyone was on the same pages.

Lord I must have done something right, because even my children played along.

I did not get any pictures at dinner but I did take a few of me being neurotic cleaning before everyone showed up. Let just say I really don't think they would have noticed, but I felt better knowing I put the effort in.

Overall I really had a nice time with all my parents and I am so fortunate to have such a great relationship with both.

This is photographic proof that I do clean on occasion:

Best Shot Monday

Francesco getting a treat, an ice cream sandwich, which is all over his face. Part of me wanted to clean it off but I like the reality of the picture. The funny part is god forbid he has stuff all over his hands he needs you to wipe it off immediately. I always tell him, "If only you could see your face you'd freak."

Nicolo making yet another one of his faces, this boy make the funniest faces, I just love it. He really is starting to develop his own unique personality, it's so fun to watch.

Theme Thursday: Winter Wonderland

We have been hibernating here over at Miei Due Bambini, we get up at dark and get home at dark.  I really wanted to take an outdoor picture but I just can't  seem to catch the day light.

This is Francesco first thing in the morning, note the time on the clock, that is a.m.

Head over to Stacy's for more real "Winter Wonderland"

I'm going to miss this!

The other day I read Carrie's Post over at Barely Controlled Chaos an realized that I am going to really miss Nicolò's infancy.  Nobody told me the second child grows up so fast.  Just in the last 6 days he has gone from the army crawl to getting him self sitting, pulling to stand and now cruising. 6 days...time is flying by.

I don't know why but this SONG make me think of my boys. I have high hope for them but in the end I just want them to be happy and healthy.   I would to listen to it while I was pregnant and my hormones would get the best of me *tears*.  When you get the chance to sit it out or dance,  I hope you dance Niccolò!

Bronchiolitis = around the clock nebulizers every 4 hoursfor two days...fun.

At least his big brother is taking good care of him!
