Picture Fall - Week 2

Week Two of Picture Fall is now done. I got a little behind but somehow found time today to catch up. It feels good to be caught up with something.

Picture Fall Week 2

If you are looking at this and thinking to yourself, "is that a chin with stitches in it?" you would be correct. This is not the first time Francesco has done this either. He fell while trying to walk on a balance beam at the park. I saw his chin smack the beam and knew what had happened.

He was much better this time in the ER. I was extremely proud of him. I didn't have to hold him down at all, I just had to hold his hand. He is really, really growing up.

It's all fun and games...

till someone busts open their chin!

Let me just say that getting the stitches was more traumatic for me.

After a 2 hour 15 min wait in the ER it took less than a minute to have them placed.

That's how I spent my Friday morning, how about you?

Sorry and a Boo Boo

First, I want to apologizes for my very scant post lately. These past few weeks have been beyond crazy and by the time I stop and sit down for the day, I am not even sure where my laptop is to Blog. I really appreciate all of you that have stopped by and left me comments, I feel bad that I don't blog more. I really want to, believe me.

I am hoping that with the new developments on the home front I will get my wish. G finally got a new job back "home", he come home tomorrow for good. The best part is he comes home just in time for Bubbie's 1st Birthday.

I can not believe he is going to be one.

That brings me to the Boo Boo. Here we are 2 days shy of the covenant 1st Birthday and Bubbie falls at my sisters house and get the biggest, ugliest, bloodiest bump on his noggin.

We stop by to pick up cupcakes that she made for his class at daycare (she is the best, I don't have time to make the cupcakes so she did it for me, I really do know how lucky I am to have her). So now for all those wonderful 1st birthday pictures he will have a purple knot on his forehead. I will post one once I take it tomorrow.

He goes for his 12 month well visit on Thursday with that knot. I hate taking him to the doctors with bruises. My PCP is great though, she has 3 kids of her own.

I digress.

This weekend I will be moving back to were we belong, a 10 minute commute from work and I will have my husband back (for good I hope). I also hope to have more time to dedicate to my blog.

Blogging and reading others blogs has been a great comfort to me in these last few months of transition. I am looking forward to continuing to see were it take me and all my blogosphere moms.

Thanks to all of you. Blog you soon!

Ouch!

I know for certain I have a future stuntman/daredevil on my hands.

He has no fear, he thinks he can walk and he has a mind of his own.

I was bragging at how good he was cruising while he cruised around the chairs in the dinning room. In a literal split second he was down. I promptly sweep him up to see how he was. He was "trying" to cry. You know when they have their mouth fully open and they are not breathing. It seem like forever but its only s few second.

He finally took a breath and I tried to comfort him. He didn't appear to have any bumps or red areas. Just then my husband states (and very calmly at that) that he is bleeding.

Bleeding!? Bleeding!? Where.

I started turning him over, upside down and all around. I didn't see any blood. "Look in his mouth" G states (again without alarm).

He busted his gum! Good thing he didn't have any teeth to crack. My Father jumps into action and all of the sudden he has ice in his mouth.

After all is said and done, he is fine. My Dad says "look at the bright side...he wont have to cut the gum for that tooth", my mother say "take a picture", G calmly states "get use to it".

Noggin

Another first.
Bubbie's is really on the move and he is a big risk taker. I like to give him a little freedom when he is crawling around so he can have new experiences.
Well he had one. At my sister's there is a step up to a landing before you go up the full flight. He has learned to crawl up the step and learned the hard way how to come down. I was trying to teach him to turn around to come down backwards. He has a mind of his own and went off face first. Now the step is only about 5-6 inches high, but the sound was awful when he hit his head. That is the sound that came out of him.
The whole incident only lasted a few minutes, but he sure has a nice goose egg on his Noggin as a souvenir. Again not the last bump on the head he will have in a life time.
